Dot as she was affectionately referred to left her mark on everyone she met with her beautiful smile, an energy-filled positive presence and spirit. Dorothy “Dot” Nieto, 54, passed away May 15, 2017, peacefully surrounded by her family and friends at Orlando Regional Medical Center. She was born June 23, 1962, in Detroit, MI to Sally and Larry Wilson who preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her father-in-law Manolo Gonzalez. She is survived by her loving husband Gabino “Gabby” Nieto of 26 years from Maitland, FL. She is also survived by her sisters Sally Wilson of Cape Coral, FL and Laura Howell and her husband Roger Howell, DO of Ft. Myers, FL; her brother-in-law Sergio Nieto of Miami, FL; her mother-in-law Rossy Gonzalez; three nieces Carly Howell; Courtney Botteron (Joe) of Ft. Myers, FL and Katie Pfeffer of Seattle, WA; two nephews Larry Pfeffer (Lauren), St. Louis, MO and Javier Nieto, Miami; a grandniece Brooke Botteron, Ft. Myers, FL. Dorothy graduated in 1984 with a BS in Business Administration from Kansas State University. She was a seasoned sales executive winning many awards from Sprint, Smart City Networks and Bright House Networks. She had shared experience in sales management, account management, and National Sales Training in the Telecommunications Industry with the state of Florida. Dorothy retired four years ago, but served as a mentor and a career coach to many. She was an active member of Saint Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Winter Park, FL where she and her husband served the community as Eucharistic Ministers. Dorothy loved life, maintained lifelong friendships and was filled with pure joy. She enjoyed swimming, exercise, and spending time at the beach with her family. A celebration of Dorothy Nieto’s life will be held at 12 p.m. Friday, May 19, 2017, at Saint Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 526 N. Park Ave., Winter Park, FL 32789. Burial will follow the service at Palm Cemetery which is within walking distance of the church. A reception will be held at The University Club of Winter Park 841 N. Park Avenue Winter Park, Fl., 32789. "We'll be seeing ya 'Over the Rainbow."
