Obituary

John Max Ainsworth, 71, of Orlando, Florida, a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend went home to meet his Savior, on Friday, September 20, 2019, surrounded by those who loved him. Born in New Orleans, LA  in 1948, the son of Max and Myrtle Ainsworth. John grew up in Metairie, attending St. Martin's Episcopal School, then went on to graduate from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth Texas, in 1970.  After graduation, he answered his country's call to service and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps Aviation division. He served faithfully from 1970 until his honorable discharge as a Sergeant in 1976. John’s first job after the military lead him to Memphis, TN, working for Union Carbide Corporation where he met and married in 1977, the love of his life, Caroyln Jean Ashe. They were married 31 years. After 3 years John was offered a job in Nashville, TN working for Masonite International Corporation. Their daughter, Ashley Elizabeth was born in 1979, before accepting a promotion as National Account Manager in Orlando, Florida, where he continued to work with the company for 12 years. In 1984, they welcomed their son, Andrew Max, who followed in his father's footsteps. A member of First Baptist Church since 1948 in New Orleans, Nashville, and Orlando he served as a member of the Bearers of The Word for over 30 years. In 1988, John accepted a Senior Executive Sales position with ELK Corporation and retired from this position in 2008, creating lifelong friendships.

John enjoyed many things in life. He loved his Sunday Church Life Group and their weekly lunches and looked forward to Thursday night dinners at BoneFish Grill or Outback SteakHouse with dear friend, Randy. Most of all, though, John enjoyed the time spent with family. He was known for his smile, sense of humor, and love of sports, especially fishing, golf, and The New Orleans Saints.

Thank you for your laughter, love, encouragement, and faith. We know you are with mom now looking down upon us, we love you dearly, Dad. So wait in the peace that only heaven can provide, we’re going to all be together someday, on the glorious other side!  Blessed with 6 grandchildren, all of whom have individual nicknames, they will fondly remember you always, as “grandpa.”

John is survived by his loving children Ashley Elizabeth Ainsworth-Brezak of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and Andrew Max Ainsworth of Orlando, FL, one daughter-in-law Jennifer Lynn (Greco) Ainsworth, six grandchildren, Brooklyn Elizabeth Brezak, Cailey Jean Brezak, Max Ashton Ainsworth, Benjamin Thomas Ainsworth, Daniel Joseph Ainsworth, and Nathan Andrew Ainsworth, brother Robert C.
